“Women in AI” Panel

In July 2019, 11 months after I started Women in Voice, I was flown down to SF to speak on a panel at VentureBeat’s Transform conference. The room was packed with 200-300 women.

I asked how many people had advanced degrees as I talked through my graduate student experiences and almost 80% of the room raised their hand “yes” that they had an advanced degree.

It’s fascinating as we consider what it takes to be a senior woman in our field and what sometimes is expected to get there.
