VR Data Scientist & UX Research Collaborator ImmerseMe: 2017
ImmerseMe
I collaborated with early-stage startup ImmerseMe on research on educational technology with a virtual reality (VR) based software company.
From Google Analytics data, I coded in R to create visualizations.
I made a long list of data-driven product changes that have been implemented into the product for pronunciation and vocabulary scaffolding features.
Under “Lesson Mode,” you can see where they added a new “Pronunciation” mode based on my recommendation of how to support language learners/users of the software towards their speaking and language learning goals.
ImmerseMe and my research were featured in Sunday Age in 2018 about how the product and research.
While I’ve done a lot of internal work, this was one of the first times where my research was taken seriously, supported, implemented, and published by someone other than me.
